This series contains material concerning the Federal Government branches, specifically the executive branch, including cabinet departments, independent agencies, boards, commissions, committees, councils, and task forces; the legislative branch, including the Congress of the United States and committees of both of its houses, the General Accounting Office, the Government Printing Office, the Library of Congress, the Architect of the Capitol, the Capitol Police, and the Capitol Page School; and the judicial branch, including the Supreme Court, the U.S. District Courts, the Circuit Courts of Appeals, the Court of Claims, the Court of Customs and Patent Appeals, and the courts of the District of Columbia. Material in this series pertains to matters such as establishment, disestablishment, organization, reorganization, audits, inspections, investigations, location and relocation of Federal government entities; and reports from or about them. Some materials concern appointments, resignations, projects, status reports, budgets and activities of the government offices. This series contains letters, memorandums, telegrams, press releases, messages, reports, clippings, invitations, lists, and publications.
